EC JC Studt-11t Speaks At ChapelHill Eddie Thorne, art student at ECJC, explained and demonstrated the procedure in beginning a piece of art. The pencil is used to sketch out your subject then paints are mixed and applied in the right proportion to bring out what you want to show.

The audience was very responsive and asked many questions. Mrs Rolf Crawford, Mrs. Billy Green ant Mrs. Auburn Majure served cake, pie, hot and cold drinks. Next month's meeting will be held May 1st at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Mr. James Darnel1 from the Farm Bureau. The club conducted a roadside clean up for the Chapel Hill Community Saturday morning. Many sacks of trash were picked up and camed immediately to the sanitary fill and nrooerly disposed of there.

He also showed the instrument used in burning a subject on wood, explaining that soft wood is best for this type work. He displayed several pieces of the artistic work he had executed in various different paints mediums. He gave a --*n down on the special charac~ c of the
