s. Mason Joins hast Central Coaching Staff

East Central Junior College has recently employed James L. Mason as assistant football coach. In releasing the announcement, head coach Ken Pouncey stated he was pleased to secure an assistant with the experience and qualifications of Coach Mason. The new coach is a graduate and former varsity football player of Columbia High School, Pearl River Junior College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. High Schools, assistant a t the University of SouthernMississippi, and assistant in Texas and Louisiana High Schools.He comes to East Central from Bogalusa High School in Louisiana where he has served as assistant coach and teacher. Coach Mason holds the Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Southern and has done additional graduate work there. He is expected to move to the campus in August prior to pre-season practice for football. He will also serve as head baseball coach and teach in health and education. -- - -
