The East Central Junior College Development Found- ation, Inc. has been estab- lished to aid East Central in supplying quality educationfor its students. This type of institutional endowment i s a means by which the college can better assure the continued incre- ment in the quality of instru- ction and facilities. The in- come from the endowmentcan be used to permit the pro- secution of long-range pro- grams. Support to the foundation can be made in the form of cash contributions, stocks, bonds, irrevocable trusts, be- quests, paid-up life insurance, land and equipment, Under the kndowment fund plan, the principal i s kept inviolate when feasible and only the income used for the cupport of the college. The Foundation can assist the college in the following ways: to provide salary supp- lements to faculty members in crucial fields, to support research projects to faculty members, to pay travel ex- penses for instructors atten- ding conferences or doing spe- cialized study, to finance an in-service study of the edu- cational setup at East Cen- tral, to provide a number of scholarships, to finance the appearance of nationally
