Free clinic to be held I at ECJC for mechanics A $ree Automotive Electrical and Tune-up Clinic for mechanics and others employed in the automotive service industry will begin at East Central Junior College in Decatur. The course is conducted by the Vocational and Technical Division of the State Department of Education in cooperation with East Central ~ u n i o rCollege and is open to mechanics, shop formen, service writers, partsmen and service mdnagers. ~ e 3 s t r a t i o n will be at 7 p.m., Monday, January 10 in the automotive shop. Students will attend the course one or two nights per week, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., until 25 hours of instruction have been completed. The clinic will be conducted by Roy Watson who has had over 20 years of mechanical and teaching experience. Watson has the use of over $30,000 worth of the finest electronic equipment, and each person attending the clinic is assured of learning the newest techniques in electrical and rune-up procedures. Instruction covers fundamentals and principles of the testing and repair of the battery and starting system, ignition system, DC and AC charging system and fuel system. The.

In the tune-up phase of the course, two and four barrel wrburetgrs will be available for each student for assembly and disassembly and fir making the different adjustments a skilled mechanic is required to perform. There is no charge for the course, and it is open to any mechanics or any automotive service personnel living or workgg in Mississippi.
