ECJC Sets Art Show

Some of the paintings are of scenes around Newton and the surrounding counties. Students enrolled in the Continuing Education Night Class whose art work is on display are: Dot Armstrong of Newton, Jerry Dunajick of Little Rock, Wanda Freeman,
Bruce Guraedy, Instruct– r of Art at East Central unior College, has announced that an art show is now on display in the lobby of the Mabry Cafeteria in Decatur. The paintings are done in oil, acrylic, and water color and deal with landscape, fi ure and seasca es.

Mrs. Everett is NSAspeaker Mrs. Bobby Everett, in– structor of business at East Central Junior College, was guest speaker at the Septem– ber meeting of the Meridian Chapter of the National Secretaries Association (In– ternational). The dinner meeting ·was held at the Holiday Inn Northeast. Mrs. Everett spoke on . "The Professional Secre– tary.'' The Meridian Chapter of NSA has five members who have obtained the Certi– fied Professional Secretary rating. One of these five people is ~Julia Wilcher, of Union, and a former student of Mrs. Everett. This is the highest rating a secretary can obtain. Julia is secretary. at Continental Development in Meridian.
