New Faculty Members Announced at ECJC

and career group, and train– ing union. Prior to his employment at ECJC he was a teacher at the Webster County Vocaitonal Center in the Auto Mechanics department. He and his family plan to remain in Louisville where he will commute to teach at the Decatur campus. Freeman Horton of Lake has been employed at East Central as Assistant Football Coach and teacher of Related Studies in the Vocational divi– sion at the college. Horton is a graduate of Lake High School and the Universi– ty of Southern Mississippi where he recieved his Bachelor's degree in Special Education. A four year letterman with the USM Eagle football team, Freeman played linebacker and recieved the Most Distinguished Athlete Award. He is married to the former AHreda Durman of Vicksburg and they have one daughter, Michelle, 2. They are members of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. They will be making their home in Decatur in August. He comes to East Central from Newton High School where he has served as a foot– ball coach for the past year.

East Central Junior College President Charles V. Wright has announced the appoint– ment of Wayne Hill and Freeman Horton as new facul– ty members for the 1986-81 school year. Wayne Hill, a · native of Louisville has been employeed as an instructor or Automotive Mechanics in the Vocational Department at East Central. Following graduation from Louisville High School, he at– tended night classes at Meri– dian Junior College and later received his Bachelor's degree in Trade and Industrial Education from Mississippi State University. He is cur– rently working on his Master's degree. He is a member of the Mississippi Barber Associa– tion, the Mississippi Voca– tional Association, the Voca– tional Industrial Clubs of American as an advisor, and a charter member of the Winston County Association of Professional Mechanics which he presently serves as President. He is married to the former Sandra Smith of Carthage and they have three children, Shel– ly, 17, Renee, 10 and William, 3. They are active members of the Murphy Creek Baptist Church where he serves as deacon, teacher of a coll~e
