O.L. Newell Recognized Olen Lavane Newell, vocaticnal and technical director at East ·Central Junior College, was reci)gnized at a recent faculty banquet ,. for being on the faculty at Ea1t Central for 20 years. Newell, a graduate of Itawamba Junior College and Mississippi State Univer– sity, came to East Central from Moss Point in 1961 as an instructor in engineer drawing and descripti ve geometry. Newell and his wife Bobbye Spencer Newell, also from Itawamba County, have two daughters, Pam Keith of Decatur and Cheryl Mars of Oxford and two grandsons, Camp Keith and Mam Mars .
