Jaycees Present Stuart Physical Fi tness Award

An active Square County Jaycee , the recipient was further cited for "showing his deep interest in Leake Coun young people by participatix in numerous other projec involving youth." A native Leake countia Stuart is a graduate of Edi burg High School, East Central Junior College and Delta State College where he obtained a BS Degree in Education, majoring in physical education and social science. St ua r t then obtained a : Master's Degree from irkansas State University, with major in guidance and ounseling. He has also done dditional work a t Mississippi , t a t e University i n school ldministration. Before coming to Carthage [igh some four years ago, tuart was on the faculty a t Barnes School, Madden, East Tallahatchie, RCA Service Company in the adult Indian education program and East Central Junior College. He is a member of the Miss. Personnel and Guidance Association. MEA, CHS Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, Jaycees, and is a past vice president of the ECJC Alumni Assn. The son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Announcement came Monday night a t a banquet in his honor here. Stuart, who has counseled CHS students for the past four yea r s , was cited for his leadership in the Jaycee sponsored Punt, Pass and Kick contest for three years; as well as his involvement in coaching Little League Baseball d u P d the past four summers.
