who teaches geometry, physics, mechanical draw– ing, ·and driver's education. McCullouch, an instructor at LHS for ten years, is much like Massey. While he attended LHS as a student, he played cornet in the LHS band, was the recipient of the Math and Science A– wards, a member of the Beta Club, a member of the Hall of Fame, a co– editor of the annual, and he climaxed the senior year as valedictorian. After high school he at– tended East Central Junior College where he served as a band captain. In his fresh– man year he was awarded the Freshman Chemistry Award. McCullouch was president of the Engineering Fratern– ity, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and was presented the Summa Cum Laude by Sigma Ta Sigma for the highest social studies aver– age. Mr. McCullouch received his BS and M.ED. degrees from Mississippi State Uni– versity in math education. While at MSU he was a member of Kappa Delta Phi and Phi Kappa Phi. He was also nominated for the Har– vard Prize Scholarship for
year-old son of Mr. and Mrs.. Morris Massey, has been selected as Louisville High School's Star Student on the basis of his high first se– meste:r average and his ACT score. Charlie, an active student at LHS, is the president of the Math Club and vice ·president of both the Science and Beta Clubs. He has been a member of the latter honorary scholastic and leadership society for three years. , He is a three-year letter– man in football, having re– ceived an honorable men– tion his junior year and AH~Conference his senior. He has been a member of the L Club for three years. At the end of football sea– son he has played the bari– tone in the LHS Band for concert and contest the past three years. After graduation he hopes to attend Mississippi State University and major in nuclear engineering. McCullouch says he be– lieves the student, not the teacher, is the center of the class. "Charlie contributed a great deal to Physics class. He's very perceptive and has much potential for the future ."
