WANDA COMANS Wanda Comans Is Considered .For Top Honor Mrs. Dexter Arnold, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Outstanding Yollllg Women of America Award, announced that Miss Wanda Comans of Pascagoula is among those being con– sidered for the top state award. From among the fifty state winners, the national Ten Yollllg Women of America for 1975 will be selected. Mrs. Arnold reported that the state and national winners will be announced early this fall by the judges. .Miss Comans is employed as a Counselor in the Jackson County Youth Court through the Mississippi Department of Youth Services. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Comans of Sebastopol. Miss Comans is a graduate of Sebastopol High School. She received her Associates Degree at East Central Junior College, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Social Work at the University of Mississippi.
ALUMNI VISIT E.C.J.C. BOOTH---Mack Jackson of. Phil– adelphia stopped by the East Central Junior College booth at the Neshoba County Fair to register with some 400 other E.C.J.C. alumni. Alumni from ten different states were present at the booth, designed and constructed by Mr. 0, L. Newell, Vocational and Technical Coordinator, and Dean of Students Denver Brackeen. Gets Scholarship Judith Elaine Hurtt, 806 Wilson St., Forest, a major In buslnfss education at th• University of Southern Mississippi, has received a SlOO scholarship from Alpha Sigma Chapter of Pl Omega Pl, National Business Teacher' Education Honor Society. Money for the scholarship was raised by Alpha Sigma Chapter members through various projects.
