~ECJC Pageant Set April 20 Nineteen coeds will compete in the "Miss East Central Junior College" Scholarship Pageant, to be held on the Decatur ca1npus Friday, April 20, at 7 p.m. The winner of this pageant will represent the East Central- Mississippi junior college in the 1973 "Miss Mississippi" Pageant. include: (Carthage) Judy Thornton, Mary Sanders, Becky J oily; (Morton) Carol Kay Laird, Francis Carroll; (Union) Jane Hollingsworth, Phyllis Driskell, Gloria Cleveland; (Hickory) Rita Gibbon; (Lake) Gloria Hollingsworth; (Philadelphia High · School) Kenneth Coleman, linebacker; Johnny Crockett, guard; (South Leake High School) Ronnie Wooten, guard. According to the director, Mrs. Johnnie Graham, the 'pageant will be conducted according to regulations set forth by the "Miss America" Scholarship Pageant. The local winners will be award– ed an educational scholarshi!> for use at the college of her choice. Winners on the state level are eligible for as much as $6,000 in scholarships. Mrs. Graham will be assi:;ted in direction by Mrs. Edmound Burroughs, art instructor at the college. Bruce Peterson, head of the speech department, will be the master of ceremonies. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Marion Thornton of the ECJC music department. Contestants will be presented in evening gown, swimsuits, and talent competition. Swimsuit competition will be closed to the public. The contestants, chosen by clubs, dormitories , and organizations on campus, will
