Here ls What 'Paint Your Wagon' ls All About/ "Paint Your Wagon", a musical comedy by Lerner and Lowe, will open Monday night in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the East Central Junior College campus at Decatur. Curtain time for the five consecutive nights performances, February 21-25, will be 7:30 p.m. The production will be under the direction of Burce W. Peterson, who has celebrated such past successes u "C&melot", "Hello Dolly", "My Fair Lady", and last year's "Gypsy". Assisting Peterson in direction will be Bob Heritage (musical arrangements), James Dykes (orchestra), Mrs. Marian Thornton (accompaniment), and Ovid Vickers (choreography). All members of the ECJC faculty. MikeSimpson,sonofMr. and Mrs. T. L. Simpson of Philadelphia, has been cast into the leading role of Ben Rumson, founder and mayor of a typical 1840's mining town. This is Mike's first year at East Central, where he is majoring in Veterinary Medicine. To the amazement of those observing rehearsals, Mike has had no past ex– perience in musical or dramatic productions. Jennifer Rumson, Ben's daughter, will be portrayed by Marian Whinnery, who won the audience's hearts last year a8 Rose in the musical "Gypsy". The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Whimery of Carthage, Marian is a sophomore Liberal Arts major at Eut Central. Cast in the supporting role of Adam, a miner from Teus, is Walter "Skippy" Griffith of Vickstmg. He is a freslman majoring in music. Leonard Fick, Gale Goss, and Joanne Wright, all of Decatur, add a touch of humor to the production by playing Jacob, a Mormon preacher, and his wives Sarah and Elizabeth. Leonard is majoring in Business Administration. He appeared in both theatre productions last year - "Savage Dilemma" and "Gypsy". Gale, who will be remembered as the maid in this year's dinner theatre production of "Blithe Spirit", is also a · Business Administration major at Eut Central. This will be Joanne's first appearance on the ECJC stage. She is a freshman majoring in Secondary Education.

Three Forest Students Will Appear In East Central Musical
Darwin Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. McClain Hatch, Richy Hosey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hosey and Dale Worrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Worrell all of Forest will appear in supporting roles in the East Central Junior College production of the Loewe and Lerner musical "Paint Your Wagon." These young men have had previous experience on the stage while attending Forest mgh School However this is their first time on the ECJC stage. The musical will be presented the week of February 21 through February 25 in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the ECJC campus in Decatur. Curtain ·time is 7:30 p.m. with all seats reserved.
