: Junior Colleges Submit Mix Plans OXFORD (UPI> - A federal judge will receive separate desegregation plans Friday from Mississippi's 16 public junior colleges. The plans, which will be submitted to U.S. District Judge William Keady, will concern student enrollments. student activities, student services, public transportation of students and the hiring of faculty members. Keady ordered the desegregation plans to be drawn up as the result of a class action lawsuit brought against the institutions by a group of blacks several years ago. Plaintiffs will have an opportunity to file objections after the plans are submitted to the court. If no objections are filed, •the judge will set a · date for a final hearing. Originally, the lawsuit was filed as one action against the junior colleges and the state's eight universities, but the cases were separated in 1975. Northeast and ~ast Central junior colleges already have formulated plans and the other schools were working on theirs. The Department of Health, Education and Welfare had encouraged the senior colleges to alter curricula at predominantly white and predominantly black schools located near each other .
