Heritage ToPerform

The East Central Junior College Department of Music will present Bob Heritage in a faculty recital on Monday. Oct. 27 at 6:lS in the Fine Arts ~uditoriun;. The program will include selected songs from Frani. Schubert's song cycle "Die ~ c hGn eMullerin" (The Maid of the Mill), poetry by Wilhelm ~ G l l e r . It will be in the form of a lecture-recital and will include explanatins of the story (translations will be provided). descriptions of the accompaniest (which are extremely important in the art of songs of Schubert) and other pertinent histoiical facts. Ms. Alice Davies. a resident of Clinton and a self-employed piano teacher in .lackson and the Nenton area, n ~ l l play the demanding Schubert accompanist. Heritage received the Bacheior of Arts deqreee in music education from Louisiana College in Pineville. La. in 1969. After teaching two vears. he attended graduate school at Mississippi L'ollege and received his Master of Music degree in 1976. In addition to Grving in the music departlnent at E ~ J C he also serves as choir director at the Newton United Methodist Church in Newton.
