Sponsored by the Division of Tourism, Mississippi Department of Economic Development, the pageant is in its 31st year. The 78 girls from towns, counties and cities all over the state in this year's pageant will compete for the chance to represent Missis- sippi at trade and travel shows, industrial develop- ment functions and other events thoughout the U.S. and in foreign countries during 1980-81. "It's not an easy job," said GeorgeWilliams, diiect- or of the Division of Tourism. "Miss Hospitality must travel thousands of miles, often with little rest and time for preparation, to greet people, make speeches, give interviews and generally pro- mote Mississippi. '' Miss Hospitality also travels over the state, appearing at groundbreaking ceremonies, before civic groups, on talk shows and in parades. Serving as judges will be Bill Hudson, vice president of industry and government affairs for the Travel Industry Association of America in Washington, D.C.; Betty Blake, president of Betty Blake & Co., a marketing consulting firm in Cincinnati; and Dick Ba r t ~p , vice president of advertiskg and marketing for United
