EC JC Home - oming Scheduled For Oct. 13 The committee has been named and extensive work has begun in preparation for the 1979-80 celebra- tion of East Central Junior College's Homecoming. The committee, chair- ed by Dr. Shelby Hqyris, professor of mathematics, ark --: <.ces that Lt. Gen. Glenn D. Walker will be honored as the Alumni of the Year. Serving as committee chairman are: Harvey Trapp, who is in charge of the parade; Raymond McMullan, registration; Jessie .Everett, recep- tion; Sarah Heard, decoration of -... dining hall; Elizabeth Pitts, court and half-time; and Joe Clark, campus decorations. The Alumni Association will be in charge of the Alumni Banquet and Larla Jordan will handle the publicity. The homecoming activities will .begin with the parade scheduled for 4 p.m. followed by the reception in the Fine Arts Building for Gen. Walker at 430 p.m. Alumni will hold a meeting at 5 p.m. in the Fine ,LS ~uuitorium. The ~ l u m n i Banquet will be at 5:30 p.m. in the nearly completed Mabry Cafeteria. The 1979-80 homecoming game will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. when the Warriors of East Central Junior College will host the Wildcats of Pearl River Junior Co!lege. The crowning of the 1979 Homecoming Queen wiil take place at half-time. There will be an Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hut following the game in Decatur.
