10-7lead. Two plays later Rusty Barrett, who played like an enraged octupus tackling everybody in sight, fell on an HJC fumble. Ten yards and four plays later Early put the Warriors even further ahead on a one-yard plunge. Hawkins made it 17-7. The Warriors scored again before the half ended on nine-yard pass from Mark' Killens to Alex Ealy. The kick was blocked by Dave Milton of Clinton. The Warriors went into the dressing room a t the half cold, but happy with a 23-7 lead which was later to grow and grow and grow. ECJC scored again, this time on a four yard run by T. Ealy with 6: 51 remaining in the third stanza. Hawkin's kick made it 30-7 in fvor of the home team. The Warriors scored just under two minutes later when reserve quarterback Ricky Parker bootlegged around right end for 12markers and a score. The T.D. was set up when a leaping Jim Thomas, a native of Union, blocked a Steve Wilson punt. The previous score was also set up by a blocked punt. This time by Mark Kilpatrick. The Warriors notched its final score of the night on a three-yard r u n by a tiny-but-&ugh Bobby Davis. Davis b t e r intercepted an

Eagle pass. The kick was good by Ronnie Mella. The Warrior offensive line blew the Eagles away from ECJC ball carriers all night long. The line was led by Kim Webb and Kenneth Whitfield, among others. Charles Hickman came into the contest in the late stages of the contest and ate up the yardage. T. Ealy was the leading rusher for the Warriors, while Don Taylor and Knight led the Eagles. Hinds dropped to 3-3 on the season.

DECATUR - The lesson of the day: don't play East Central Junior College on their 50th anniversary homecoming. Hinds Junior College had to have it proved to them. And it was. The Warriors, in front of an overflowing home crowd, stuck it to the Eagles 43-13 much to the pleasure of the frenzied .ECJC fumbled the ball away to Hinds at the Warrior five on the third play from mage.
