Speakers for the week in– clude Rev. Harold Bryson of Carthage who will open the week of · activities during a special assembly at 9:50 a.m. February 15. Special music will be provided by East Cenral students.

Former pres., Baptist editor to speak at ECJC exercises

In 1953 he went to Meridian to serve as superintendent of cicy schools and has served in this ca,pacicy since that time. During his career in educa– tion, Dr. Todd has been act– ive in many aspects of the field. His services have got– ten him a place in the Who's Who in America, He has been active in the Mississippi Education Association, the Mississippi Junior College Association and the Southern Association· of · Colleges and Schools. Listed among Who's Who in America, Rev. Odle has been pastor of seven chur– ches. Rev. Odle has held numerous positions in the Mississippi and Southern Con– ventions. In the state con– vention he has served as as– sociate executive secretary from 1956 to 1959, was vice president in 1953, as well as serving on various commit– tees. Rev. Odle is the author of three books. 'The Church Member's Handbook' has 1, 700,000 copies printed, Edit– ions have been printed in sev– eral languages. Other books are 'It's A Great Life', 'Don't Miss It' and 'Is Christ Coming Soon?'

Dr. L. O. Todd, former President of East Central Jun– ior College, will be the guest speaker at graduation exer– cises to be held at 8 p.m. May 28 in Huff Memorial Au– ditorium. Rev. Joe T. Odle, editor of the Baptist Record, is to de– liver the Baccalaureate ad– dress at 8 p.m. May 23 in Huff Memorial Auditorium. Dr. Todd was a student at the Universicy of Mississippi before attending Peabody Uni– versicy where he received his B,S, degree in 1925. Feb. 18. A coffee-house will be held each night from 7-9 o'clock in the old choral room in Newton County Hall. Entertainment from ECJC, other colleges and high schools will be provided.
