The best part of tourneys are upsets TYLER, Texas - I can imagine everyone who makes predictions about the NCAA Tournament panicking when Wisconsin-Green Bay beat California Thursday. I have no problem imagining this because I am one of those people. And if there was any- one who was making pre- dictions on women's junior college basketball, they would have panicked when Florida Community College was eliminated from this tournament , Thursday. It just goes to show, no ha t t e r what level, no matter how dominating the team: upsets do hap- pen. The Stars of FCC entered the National Junior CollegeWomen's Basketball Tournament with an impressive 31-0 mark in the regular sea- son, the best of any team in the 16-teamfield. Florida's season is now over, much like California's, as the Stars lost their first two games of the season in the first two rounds of this tourna- ment. Howard Csllege of Bay Spring, Texas, was the first team to beat FCC, then Truett-McConnell College of Cleveland, Georgia, followed suit.
