A clash on Warrior Field at Decatur, Dec. 4 will decide the fate of the East Central Junior Warrior football team. Stan– ding at 7-3, the Warriors will tackle unbeaten Pearl River Junior College for the state championship. The Warriors were declared winners of the North Division Championship by a toss of a coin Nov. 22 following victories by both ECJC and East Mississippi Junior · College. Both teams have a 7-3 overall record and a 5-1 division record. The high-spirited Warriors sprung up this season to defeat Itawamba, Jones, Mississippi Delta, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Copiah– Lincoln. The Warriors suffered only three defeats to Perkin– ston, East Mississippi and

Pearl River. This season saw the Warriors up and ready to go, to over– come last year's winless record. Head Coach Ken ·~ouncey said, "We have our hands full with Pearl River, but we're out to win." Aiding the Warrior team in the "clash of the year" for the ECJC Warriors are For~tmen Freddie Bagley, QB; :Jimmy Kilpatrick, DHB; Wade Clark, G; James May, C; Jinuµy Wright, FL; Rusty McMullan, QB; Ralph Brown, DHB; Joe Tadlock, DHB; and Mickey Sessions, G, and Victor Bugg, G, Lake. Kick-off time is 7:30 p. m. on Warrior Field at East Central Junior College, Decatur.
