Band Clinic At ECJC

The annual ECJC band clinic will be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24 and is. on the campus of East Central Junior College in Decatur. Approximately 200 students from 17 high schools in the five county junior college district will be in attendance. According to James Dykes, ECJC Band Director, guest conductors for this two day clinic will be Joe Berryman, director of the Lions All-State Band of Mississippi and Hal Polk, faculty member at Mississippi State University and former ban4 director at Forest High School. Registration will begin at 3 p .m. Friday afternoon with tryouts and rehearsals to follow . Then on Saturday there will be more rehearsal sessions with exchange concerts in the afternoon . The clinic will conclude with a buffet supper at 5 p.m. Saturday.
