Steve Burnett Signs With East Central Steve Burnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Burnett, was signed to a football scholar– ship last week by East Central Junior College. Burnett, a former standout for Philadelphia as linebacker and fullback, is expected to see action as a defensive cornerback for the Warriors. Burnett led Philadelphia's 1977 team in tackles and was awarded the Best Defensive Back Award at the All-Sports Banquet. East Central will open its 1978 season this Saturday by traveling to Scooba to face East Miss. Junior College.
