proximately 75 University Scholarships each academic year to entering freshmen and transfer students who are residenti of Mississippi. Applicants are judged on the basis of scholarship, leader– ship and need. Funds for the University Scholarships are made available through gifts from alumni and friends of Ole Miss and from traffic fines on campus. The scholarship is auto– matically renewable on a semester-to-semester basis for eight consecutive sem– esters or until undergraduate graduation if. the recipient maintains a 2.5 grade point average during the first year and a 2.8 GPA thereafter. The recipient must be a full-time student. University Scholarships are awarded each year to students at Ole Miss. Dye, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Dye Sr., is a graduate of Neshoba Central High School. He graduated with honors and was award– ed the Honor Cadet Medal in NJROTC for maintaining the highest academic standing. He served as a member of the drill team and color guard and was selected as circuit judge at Boy's State. Dye plans to inajor in electrical engineering at Ole Miss.

She was voted Most Likely to Succeed, senior Homecom– ing maid, beauty, and class favorite for three years.
