TO ATTEND NATIONAL CONVENTION Making final plans to attend the 64th annual Phi Theta Kappa Convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel .in Minneapolis, Minnesota are East Central Junior College sophomores: [seated] Lorri Seal of Union, Sonjia Herrington of Decatur, Janie McMullen of Newton, Kevin Winstead of Union, and sponsor, Ann Burkes; [standing] Jamie Adcock of Noxapater, Mev Thrash and Randy Russell of Decatur, and Rudolph Mayes, sponsor. [Not pictured is James Wood of Louisville]. To be eligible for PTK, sophomores have to maintain a 3.0 or better grade point average, based on a 4.0 system.
