Richardson, Cleveland in ECJC Hall of Fame

1978-79 Hall of Fame. To be named to the Hall of Fame is the most prestigious honor given to an East Central student. The criteria for selection are (1) leadership, (2) extra– curricular participation, (3) scholarship, and (4) charac– ter. A faculty committee makes the selection from nominees from both the faculty and students. There is no set number of Hall of. Famers; the number of selec– tions varies from year to year. Only two students were selected this year. Randy Richardson, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Richard– son of Union has received many honors at ECJC. He has served as presiden~ of the Mississippi - Tennessee Regional Phi Theta Kappa, office holder of the college chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, and reporter of the French Club. Randy was selected to the National Phi Theta Kap– pa Hall of Honor this year. Only ten students in the United States ·are selected each year for this honor. He has received such awards as the Frank Leatherwood Memorial Biological Schol– arship, Freshman Chemistry Award, French Award, the Jack B. Mayo Memorial Award for Phi Theta Kappa, the Dr. Edwin Miller Alum– ni Memorial Award for Med– ical Services, and named to the President's List both his . freshman and sophomore year.

named to the President's List while attending East Central. He is the recipient of the Jack B. Mayo Memorial Award for Phi Theta Kappa and selected as the Most Outstanding Technical Stu– dent.
