Brad Castleberry of Biloxi, a student at Mississippi College, has -t-een elected president of the state Baptist Student Con– vention. Castleberry was elected at the week-long Baptist Student Union leadership conference which ended Sunday. He succeeds Tim Thomas of Fulton, a student at William Carey College at Hat– tiesburg. Other officers elected were Warren Rowe, vice president, Mississippi S t a t e ; Debbie Crowell, secretary, East Central Junior College. Several hundred Baptist Col– lege students from about 30 schools and colleges in the state attended the convention at Camp Garaywa near Clinton.

JOE TADLOCK, son of Mr. and Mrs. )Noodard Tadlock of Homewood, has received a footba II scholarship to Mississippi College at Clinton. !ie is a graduate of Forest High School and is now attending East Central Junior College at Decatur. While at E. C. J. C. he made honorable mention on the all State Junior College football team and was recently chosen to appear in the 1971 edition -;>f Outstanding College athletics of America.
Cheryl Hatch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McClain Hatch, has been elected secretary of the Student Body Association at East Central Junior College, Decatur. Miss Hatch served as majorette with the ECJC Marching Band and is a member of the stage and concert bands. She is a graduate of Forest High School where she was a member of the band and a majorette.

ECJC Alumni To Organize

Leake Chapter . An organizational meeting of Leake County ECJC alumni will be held Thursday, April 6 at the Hitching Rail. Preceding the meeting a dutch supper is slated at 7 p.m. The meeting will get underway at 7:45 with the election of officers. Special guests will be Dr. Charles Wright , ECJC president, and Dean Denver Bracken . The college's development foundation will be explained and slides of the college are to be shown. All ECJC alums interested in the organization of an association in Leake are urged to attend.
